Luke17: 3-4 So watch yourselves! If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.
Luke 6:37b Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.
Today I choose to forgive.Forgiveness ushers in freedom. Forgiveness crushes the chains that bind me to the one who hurt me. Forgiveness makes me beautiful, a direct resemblance of my Father. I forgive today. Though the pain may remain, I choose to give forgiveness its course. I will not allow the negative emotions that oftentimes accompany hurtful memories rule me. I will yield my heart to God each time a painful remembrance crosses my mind. As vivid memories of disappointments plague my mind, I choose to allow forgiveness to rise above and to reign. I forgive and I am free. Eventually I will feel no hurt when I remember yesterday’s pain. Today I choose to forgive.
Pray: Father, I surrender the hurtful memories that come to my mind to You. Please set me free from the sting of those memories. I forgive those who have caused me pain. I bless those who have hurt me by releasing them to You. Please cleanse my heart if I must interact with them and lead me in Your everlasting way. Amen.
