No Worries!

Philippians 4:6-7

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 6:25-34

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Today I choose not to worry. Tomorrow feels uncertain as my mind wanders with the realities that life faces. Yet, all I can do is to live today. There may be a plethora of causes to cause me to live with anxiety. There may be thousands of reasons to fear the unknown. There may be tangible rationale to warrant anguish, yet I chose to press deeper into the loving arms of my Father. Thus, today I will not worry. Today I thrust my hope into the everlasting arms of my Savior. Today I will not worry.

Pray: Father God, you see my life and you know every detail thereof. You hold my life in your hands, thus I’m trusting you to take care of everything that concerns me. I thrust myself into your arms at this moment with everything that wants to cause me concern. I’m trusting you to give me the strength and the wisdom to live today and to not focus too much on tomorrow. Thank you Lord for caring and thank you for moving on my behalf. Amen
